Both sides of the table
On one side, the leader’s. Then ten years on the other, supporting. And the most striking thing is what never changes.
I spent the first part of my working life on one side of the table: the leader’s. The decisions that cannot wait, the teams, the stock, the cash.
On the other side, for ten years
For ten years, I have been on the other side: supporting leaders. Stores, online brands, distributors, manufacturers, sectors with nothing in common. And the most striking thing is what never changes.
Everywhere, the same meetings where everyone agrees, the same well-made dashboards. And the next day, nothing has changed on the ground. Analysing, everyone can do. Deciding, most manage. It is implementation that gets lost: between the decision and the concrete action, the thread breaks.
Where good ideas die
I have watched a brilliant idea die there twenty times. Not for lack of intelligence, but because no one held the thread to the end. That thread is the obsession that gave rise to BOUCLR.
